Born in the small Northern Panhandle town of Glen Dale, West Virginia, gH FiLben studied art and music at an early age and loved the self abstract expressionism that painting allowed. He studied art and music throughout his childhood and continued through adulthood. He graduated from John Marshall High School and West Virginia University and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. gH FiLben has an original 48x60x1 abstract and mixed media on canvas called "One Green Circle" hanging proudly in Allen Hall on the WVU campus. Now residing in St. Louis, Missouri, he considers himself a self taught artist who works in a wide variety of mediums.
