This is an abstract acrylic enamel paint and wood on canvas. This is the fourth painting in the series of flower gardens. The artist glued a few picket fence post to the canvas along with some metal screws. He carved his parents initials in the bottom post and the year they were married. He used a medium coarse additive to thicken the paint. He also used his 1800's era beer bottle to create his mysterious circles, used sponges, paper towels and paint pens to create the flowers. Water bottles filled with paint were used to create the drips. Signed front and back.
Born in the small Northern Panhandle town of Glen Dale, West Virginia, gH FiLben studied art and music at an early age and loved the self abstract expressionism that painting allowed. He studied art and music throughout his childhood and continued through adulthood. He graduated from John Marshall High School and West Virginia University and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. gH FiLben has an original 48x60x1 abstract and mixed media on canvas called "One Green Circle" hanging proudly in Allen Hall on the WVU campus. Now residing in St. Louis, Missouri, he considers himself a self taught artist who works in a wide variety of mediums.
