This is an abstract acrylic paint and enamel spray with mixed media on canvas. The artist used a regular sand additive to thicken the paint, letter stencils, a black marker, a plastic funnel for the smaller circles and his 1800's era beer bottle for the bigger circles. Paint was dripped from a wooden ruler to form the red lines. The title was inspired by a friend he has known since childhood. Signed front and back.
Born in the small Northern Panhandle town of Glen Dale, West Virginia, gH FiLben studied art and music at an early age and loved the self abstract expressionism that painting allowed. He studied art and music throughout his childhood and continued through adulthood. He graduated from John Marshall High School and West Virginia University and is a veteran of the U.S. Army. gH FiLben has an original 48x60x1 abstract and mixed media on canvas called "One Green Circle" hanging proudly in Allen Hall on the WVU campus. Now residing in St. Louis, Missouri, he considers himself a self taught artist who works in a wide variety of mediums.
